Twitter in Plain English
A short video, made for presenting Twitter to people who've never heard of it. It highlights many interesting facts about the website, including, the concept of ambient awareness. Not only does it let the user inform others of their own happenings, but Twitter also lets the user see into the lives of people between face-to-face interactions at work, school, etc. This creates that pseudo-network of ambient awareness that prevails through the most popular social networking sites.
I found the video itself interesting because of how simply portrays Twitter and its usage. Without the complicated language or complex ideas of internet society, Twitter itself is seen as simply a way for people to connect and gain insight regarding other people.
