Facebook in Arabic and Hebrew
Facebook has recently added support for Arabic and Hebrew languages. My first reaction was, oh this is going to be great because it will reach to peoples of the Middle East and attract new users who don't know English. However upon reading the article, it turns out that the few that were interviewed did like the idea of Arabic and Hebrew language support, however they still opted to use the English page. When asked for a reason, I also found it interesting that they said it was because they were used to the English page layout, or that they wanted people to be able to stay better connected by using English as an international language. I initially thought opposite and thoguht people would definitely be interested in switching to their native languages, but this may not be the case, however there are still benefits from the new language support.
